Toyota tundra, check the connections before you buy it.
I also have used the Fiamm Freeway blasters, high and low note from Advanced auto,. $18 each and created a pigtail to connect the other horn. I am sure someone will mention Hella horns.
yep, i've got the fiamm freeway blaster. there are different tones, i've got the low F tone. some like to combine the F tone and the high A tone. mine sounds like a gm, still not loud. i'm getting another one. mikered30, is a pigtail all i need to connect it to my second horn. i'm not quite sure what i need, any help would be appriciated. and the hella horns, yes, they look good, but you'll also have to do some wiring to hook up the hella horns where the fiamm freeway blaster is plug and play.
I also have the Fiamm Freeway Blasters. I used the F and A notes. This is all you need to do to wire them:
The factory horn had one power lead. The mount bracket was the ground. When you hit the horn pad on the wheel, the relay energized the power lead, and power flowed through the wire, through the horn, to ground. What you need to do is split the power wire into two leads. One for the F note and one for the A note. The horns will still ground to the chassis through the mount brackets. Here's a picture of mine:
I mounted each horn on the side of the grill area. There are a few holes in the chassis where you can mount the bracket with a nut/bolt.
How do you clean your engine like that? I only see that on cars For Sale, on Dealership.
Thanks for the compliment. Honestly, just a wet washcloth. I never use any dressings, don't live where it snows (much), keep it out of the salt, etc. I just wipe everything down with a wet washcloth every month or so (whenever it gets dusty).
Thanks for the replies guys, I'll look into those Fiamms.
Btw Jason, my car has some sort of coating all over it in the engine compartment, like it was sprayed in there...is this rust protection of some sort? I live up north so I will hit a lot of salt...especially now.
To wire the horns, pick up some male and female connectors and some 18 gauge wire and make your custom pigtail.
I really recommend the CD-2 detailer. The engine compartment has to be clean first, spray the plastics, drive to warm up the enamel in the spray and wipe off the over spray.

Yes, it's black tar used to protect from rust... it's usually done at the dealer I believe when the car first arrives new.
