Mine's an '07 LE with the 5-speed manual with 23k miles. As you can see from my signature, my overall average is about 35 MPG with this car. That's mostly commuting. I haven't yet had it on the highway to know what it would do. It's rated at 41 MPG according to the window sticker, so I hope it'd get at least 40. It's rated at 32 city and I'm getting mid-30s, so I'm optimistic about my highway economy.

As for ride, this is the first small car I've had. I'm used to Cadillacs and Chryslers (my other two cars currently are an '07 Chrysler Town & Country and a '97 Dodge Dakota). To me, this car rides pretty firm. It's smooth (no vibrations), but the ride quality is pretty dadgum stiff. But I also understand that it's among the best ride in the small car class, so I know I'd REALLY dislike the ride on something like a Mazda 3. I installed some OE wheels off a Toyota Prius, and upgraded the tires. That helped the ride quite a bit actually...the old steel wheels were pretty heavy.

I really like the car, love the economy, and tolerate the ride.

This Corolla is a first for me, I have always bought Fords or Mercury. I wanted a car that would hold it's value and not cost me an arm and a leg to maintain. And now that my ride is 5 years old it still looks new and it is very dependable. The only problem I have is that 10 months ago I reported a viberation to the Dealer and they checked it out and replaced a broken motor mount but that did not solve the problem and I have exhausted all Avenues to find a solution but all the dealer says is this is normal. Everyone I have spoken to says they have no viberation with the car. So what could be root cause for this viberation?
