Interior Dome Light Won't Turn Off

Hello,

The interior ceiling light on my 2003 Corolla is suddenly just staying on all the time. I open and closed all the doors repeatedly and fiddled with the door latches but it still remains on after closing and remote locking the car. Same thing happens when I manual lock it. I removed the bulb to keep my battery alive but does anyone have any ideas on the cause of this?

Thanks,
WP

Isn't there an ON/OFF switch somewhere??? As far as I know all cars have 3 position switches. OFF - ON - AUTO (meaning ON only when doors open)

check the dash dimmer switch, it's near the mirror adjustment buttons, you probably just have it set on "on"

You are both right and I am woefully unobservant. I always thought that dimmer switch was only for the dashboard lights. Issue resolved. Now to buy some new eyeglasses.....

Thanks guys.
