Question 05 Corolla Knocking rear brakes right after shock and strut change

I recently got both new shocks and struts on my 05 Corolla S @ 97000 miles. Mounts and everything appertaining there unto. Now when I slow down the vehicle I hear a knocking sound coming from the rear right at the lower speeds and also a creaking sound. Why the knocking in the brake area. The creaking I"ll attribute for a couple of weeks to the newness of the shocks.<--Think that's wise.

Feed back please ty. By the way struts replaced with OEM rear shock Monroe.

Why not take it back to where the repair was done? There shouldn't be any noise...shocks don't wear in. My wife had struts changed, heard noises, took car back and the mechanic had left a wrench hanging in the suspension.

The rear strut bottom mount is mount to spring {metal on metal) and sometimes sqeaks. When I changed my struts I had to spray the bottom mount with silicon spray to quiet that noise. The clunk sound sounds like the strut bolts werent tightened. Your mechanic prolly forgot to tighten them up after hand tightening everything.
