Would like to know if it is generally recommended to get the transmission fluid drained/replaced at a certain mileage. Also, does the PVC valve need to be cleaned if the oil/filter is changed regularly?
My 2004 corolla LE has 53,500 miles on it. thank you.

Tranny fluid is generally 60K miles, but no recommend interval by Toyota, unless severe driving. I do a couple of drain and refills. I clean my PVC every 30K miles, and will change it at 90K miles, it is a $7 part, but get it from the dealer. Toyota does not give a recommend interval for the PVC either.

I agree- I have dropped the pan once to clean the magnets and screen and the rest of the time just drain and refill with the plug.
