why is it ever time i come to a stop the rear brakes make a clunking noise i had the problem with the front brakes a few months back so i put new pads on my car all Toyota pads now the clunking has started in the back brakes

also how would you know if your brakes or hand brakes was sticking

jack up the car with the hand brake off and spin the tire, does it spin freely? does it sound like its grinding?

are the lug nuts tight?

My '08 13,000 miles does the same thing. Front brakes make a loud clunk noise when coming to a stop sometimes. Happens pretty frequent. I think its got to be loose brake pads or something. Maybe caliper?

well had the car to the garage he tuck the brakes apart and cleaned everything and reassembled them back together and the clunking has stop he said the pads are in good condition its seems to be a problem with corollas just hope i don't have to keep getting them fixed every few months why do they keep coming loose..its a mystery..
