2007 LE Rattle

I have a rattle in my '07. It sounds like it is coming from the drivers side speaker (the small one fixed to the back of the mirror). It occurs when I go over rough pavement with the driver side wheels. It is a buzzy annoying rattle. Has anyone else had this or know how to go about removing the speaker?

Thanks,
Ray

Ray, shouldn't it be under warranty still?

Yes, until August. Will the dealer handle a rattle?

Well they better! Basically if the dealership can hear the rattle and determine it to be abnormal, they should take care of it under warranty. But if it is one of those "once in a while rattles" it may be a little harder to get fixed.

My guess is that the seal has become loose and just needs adjustment, or possibly the speaker wire is vibrating back and forth against something. Best to let the dealership take a look first before you start feeling adventerous.

Keep us posted and good luck.

Thanks, dealer could not duplicate it. With warm weather, rattle is less frequent. The 3-36 ends at the end of August. I can only hope it becomes more noticeable before then. I'll try again before the warranty ends. After that, I'll want to know how to get that speaker off.

Thanks,
Ray
