Car Wash/Check Engine Light

Last few days it's been really cold here and let my 2005 corolla warm up in the morning before I start off to work. Today is about 31 degrees out and wanted to get the salt and crap off the car. Car was running fine with 70K on it. I left the car running while I hosed it down in the self wash bay. Finished up and went back into the running car when I see the engine light was on. I've washed this car before and left it running with no problem. Could it have been that it was cold out and washed it a sensor went off. The car is still running fine on the way back, just the engine light. I didn't think 31degrees was too cold. But I could be wrong. Any thoughts?

Could be anything, sucked up water or electrical problem, did you keep water off of the alternator when it was running?

Thanks guys. I'll take it to the local autozone to get the code. Ran it this morning and everything is fine.

Yea, I tried to keep from spraying too much water in the grill area, but who knows.

Stupid sensors! lol.
