if toyota corolla hand brake is tightened it interferes with the brakes is this true

can anybody help me i had my handbrake adjusted a couple of months back because i thought it came up to far maybe about 9 clicks its now at about 6 clicks but i had to bring it back to the garage because it was sticking or the brakes were sticking he tuck everything off and cleaned everything and said everything looks ok pads are in good condition there Toyota pads..now two weeks later its happening again and the loud squeaking noise is back it comes and gos it sounds like a old wheelbarrow squeak squeak squeak like something rubbing.the car feels like it slows down quickly when i take my foot off the gas what would cause that to happen it feels like the handbrake is still on abit...Ive red on a site if you tighten the handbrake on a toyota corolla it interferes with the brakes has anybody had this happen I'm sick of bringing it to garages i though Toyota cars were suppose to be trouble free i paid alot of money for it last year 15k euros its in the garage every few weeks its a Toyota corolla Terra 2005 saloon...anybody...how many clicks should it be..

Yes the hand brake works in conjunction w/service brake.
If the hand brake is constantly used the Brake Cable does not Seize Up in it's Shaft=Not Releasing.
If you always used the hand brake it should not be the case, if you don't might need a Brake Cable replace.

Just curious do you get snow & slush in Ireland? If you do that may be contributing. Lube the heck out of it.

Maybe try a second Garage/opinion.
