Recently over the last few weeks my 2006 Corolla S with 45k miles has developed a problem where it occasionally starts hard. Quite often when the car has the hard start problem on the initial attempt to start the car cranks but does not start, then the second attempt it starts normally. Other times it will start but sputters a bit once it has started. I am just wondering if anyone else has had a similar problem and may have a suggestion as to what the problem might be and how to fix it. I am wondering if this will fall under a warranty issue. I have read about a similar problem reported with the 2005 model Corolla and I believe in that case the problem was with the fuel pump. That problem was supposedly fixed for the 2006 model year in my understanding.
I will attempt to include a link below to a video I took illustrating the problem I have been experiencing.
