How do i disable my day time running lights on my 9gen 08 corolla?, i have a HID kit and the DRL system is causing problems (flickering and random black-outs).

Ive had people tell me that i have to pull a fuse, but there is not DRL fuse, or i cant find it, HELP!

wouldn't it be a lot less hassle to just pull the DRL fuse from the box?

this is by-far the most easiest way to disable DRL's, but some people will decide not to do it this way. Just disconnect the sensor that is on you're brake fluid reservoir. ever notice that you're drl's don't come on unless you're hand brake is released?

That sensor sounds pretty important, I would not drive around with a sensor unplugged. Wont the brake light or ABS light come on?

it's not that important really, the brake light would come on, you're brakes and ABS will still function. as long as you are sure you have brake fluid in the reservoir, why worry?

You'd rather unplug a sensor and look at a light on the dash every time you drive your car than cut a single wire? I'm not sure I'd say that unplugging the brake sensor is "by far" the easiest way to do it. Cutting the #12 wire takes all of about 20 seconds. And there are no brake lights on the dash either.

And you say "as long as you are sure you have brake fluid in the reservoir, why worry?" That's precisely the point of the fluid sensor. While you're driving, you can't know how much fluid is in the reservoir. If you run over something and it snags a brake line or something, you'd never know it until it were too late. There's no good reason to unplug a safety sensor to avoid a 20 second procedure.
