'08 Rolla S, needing new tires, recommendations?

Hi 9th Gen Corolla members, I'm in need of some expert advice, I'll try to put as much info as possible to help get me a recommendation.

I live in the Durham/RTP, NC and I commute weekends and such regularly down to Fayetteville/Ft Bragg, NC. I'm looking for tires that first and foremost have excellent wet traction, good/exc hydroplan resistance for when it rains as I'll be doing alot of highway/city driving and great/exc. dry traction, followed by good/long treadlife and are decently priced. I don't race my car, but I have an aggresive driving style and take corners pretty fast.. Anyway, my '08 Rolla has the 15" P195/65/15 Alloy Wheels, my stock tires are the Bridgestone Insignia SE 200 and they don't even have 30K on them and they're worn down already

I've been looking on TireRack and some local shops in the RTP area and Fayetteville area, wherever I get the tires they'll be installed in the Fay area. I will probably get them from Walmart as I'll need to get lifetime rotation/balancing for the tires and most likely will need a road hazard plan.

Other local shops I may purchase whatever tire I get: Bridgestone/Firestone stores, Black's Tire, Ft Bragg Tire Shop

But back to the tires that I've been recommended thus far for my car for my driving style and price range which is $60 ~ $110 or so for ea tire.

I'm leaning towards either the BFGoodrich Traction T/A T and the Goodyears, I need something that has a good tread life warranty as well. I really like the Bridgestone ones and they are rated good on TireRack (TR) but their warranties are low. The Goodyears are rated good on TR and have long warranties, they're abit pricey but if they get the job done I'll settle with those. Hopefully I don't have to also sacrifice ride/comfort for what I need in my tires, sounds like a lot and my choices seem to be quite limited.

Almost forgot, I don't need snow tires, hardly ever snows in NC, but I'm looking for All Season type of tires that are good just in case it does snow lol..Whatever tires are recommended, how do they perform when the tread starts wearing down on them, some tires with certain tread patterns will decrease the performance heavily as the tread wears down.

The tire I recommend is the Yokohama Avid TRZ. I've had them on my '07 LE for almost a year now and they're one of the best all-season tires I've owned. I usually like to buy tires at Sam's Club, and was almost ready to pull the trigger on a set of Michelin X Radials for it (a sister tire to the Harmony), but decided to give the Yokohamas a try. They're EXCELLENT tires. They also have very good rolling resistance -- I get better fuel economy with these Yokohamas at 30 PSI than I did with the Bridgestones at 35 PSI.

I drove around with these during the 8" snow we had in mid January and they did great. The Yokohamas have a 700 treadwear rating, and an 80,000 mile treadwear warranty. They also transformed the handling of the car. But while they stick really well, they also ride great, and are very quiet.

I bought these in Virginia (my wife's family is from there, and I know someone who works at the Yokohama plant up there in Roanoke), but I had them installed at Walmart on NC-401 south of town. But I believe you can get them from Raynor Tire on Skibo Road. But I'm sure that's not the only place around here where you can buy them. Up in Raleigh, Discount Tire and Tire Kingdom also sell these (I bought mine from a Tire Kingdom store in VA).

I am a Michelin guy, always have been. But let me tell you, these Avids are one of the best tires I've ever had, and I'd highly suggest that you at least check into buying them up in Raleigh at a national or regional chain (like Discount Tire or Tire Kingdom). You'll still be able to get a road hazard warranty and lifetime balancing package. Walmart's prices on those things are unbeatable, but based on just how good this tire is, and how well-matched it seems to be for our cars, I'd absolutely pay extra for the added value.
