Exhaust help needed

I don't know if there is another post out there like this, i've tried looking and i'm sorry if there already is.

I don't like the ricey whining sound and I'm looking to redo my exhaust. I'm wondering if there is any recomendations to something that might sound a little deeper, almost muscley deep kinda sorta lol. Please help if anything is known about my current quest....

What kind of exhaust is on it now? You have a 1.8L 4-cylinder engine; it's not going to sound "muscley deep", no matter what's on it.

The most often-recommended exhaust I've seen is the Mangaflow, though I've not heard one in person.

That was my mistake, I'm looking exactly for a deep muscle car exhaust per say. I should have specified, I'm not positive what kind of exhaust is on there now I got the car how it is and it's kind of jacked up from previous owner. I just want something different, not honda civic riced out. I'll check out the magnaflow and see how that works out. Thanks

You could always put on a pair of thrush glass packs but for the really deep sound you would also need to throw in a chevy 350.

really no way to get a good deep rumbling sound from a 4-banger that I know of.

you just need some 2.25" pipe and a good resonator and a real muffler to muffle the high pitch, whiny notes. on my rolla i've got mostly 2.25" (from primary cat on back) a rather large resonator (not sure what brand or type) and the vibrant muffler which is actually a real muffler, large, oval, and with good baffling, not like one of those fart cans. any universal muffler can be made to fit our car, you just wanna get the ones that actually "muffle"!

I would suggest the Magnaflow

A friend of mine has it on his 2004 Corolla Sport and it sounds awesome. That will be the one that I put on my car when I save up the money.

well either you can get magniflow or you can make a custome exhaust and have the deep toned sound your looking for out of your car, but rember like the first person said its only a 1.8 L motor put new headers and the exhaust system and maby 2.5 inch piping with a 3 inch tip and that might get the sound your looking for. but im not sure if that will take away all the compression in your car. just food for thought, i hope this helps

A muffler shop? Lol.

Just check your phone book. There should be a few places in your area that deal with muffler work.

I found Meinike,,,they do that kind of work. I called and the guy told me it would cost about 100 dollars for parts and labor. I just hope that I can get that deep low sound from this exhaust...

Will this void my warranty?

While we are on this muffler talk, I have a question too.

I found some weld on mufflers (since I have all the other work done) and picked the model I like. The thing is, it comes in a carbon fiber covered finish as well for a few more clams, and I am curious if there is really anything to gain from that besides the odd look of it.
