Sun damage to inside of car

Does anyone know how I could replace the inside door trim? My corolla was out in the sun and had no tint on the windows. The sun caused the inside trip to harden, then break off in small pieces. They fixed the design in 1999 it seems, as my bf has one that is a year younger than mine. I'm not sure if I should cut it out, and not sure even how to do that without damaging the door frame underneath.

Depending how much work is needed, it might be cheaper to replace the entire door, if you can find a good one from a scrap yard.

ooooh. well...all four doors need work. I might just leave it as it is then.
