I have to agree with JasonA here, it definitely looks ghetto ricer to me. A lot of the exterior modifications are appearance-based and are just plain tacky.
Considering that you can buy a used Impreza WRX for around the same ballpark, there are many better options as far as performance goes.

I was referring to the "out of the box" potential. I realize that if you do some moderate modifications to an XRS you have a pretty well performing ride. But if a person is looking for a car with good performance without doing any more modifications and is interested in a Corolla and no other car, this car I think is a good buy. Also, if you look at my post, I said that the mods would best a STOCK XRS, not a supercharged XRS with a new exhaust system and intakes and whatever else you want to slap on it.
And when it comes to the exterior how else are the mods supposed to be based? Outside of openings in the exterior pieces that increase air flow or aerodynamics there isn't any other purpose than looks. A lot of people modify the exterior for one reason: looks. You want your ride to stand apart, you want it to look better than the stock design. Exterior performance is generally an afterthough. And what is all this talk about "Ghetto" ricer? What does that even mean?
And lastly, there are TONS of other options for better performance in this price range, but we aren't here for Subaru's or Honda's or Mitsu's. We're here for Toyotas, most notably Corollas in this forum.
