I have a 2003 Corolla and my A/C is blowing hot air. The Compressor is not engaging, I checked the fuse under the dash and i checked the MG/CLT relay and even replaced it with the horn relay and the compressor still does not engage. i took it to a local mechanic and he is telling me that something called the A/C Power Module needs to be replaced and it cost $1000.00 with tax and labor total out the door would be $1330.00. no way! would appreciate any help or advice.

I moved your thread from the intro section here. The guys know the Corolla well and can advise you.
Sound like BS to me though.
Welcome to the Forum and good luck.

if the compressor is not engaging, it could just be the clutch? i haven't worked on my A/C on my corolla, but my old truck, an S10, had a clutch that you could just replace without having to replace the entire compressor. maybe see if that works? AC power module?

If AC coolant (freon/R134) pressure is low, compressor won't engage. Check that and the pressure switch.

Make sure your actually getting 12 volts going to the compressor...If you are, then your clutch coil is bad but you must find out why it burned out in the first place...
