Are there any differences? I was looking into some parts and for example, headers for an 07 look completly different from 08 headers. Is it just a bad picture or is the 07 engine front exhaust? My 08 is rear exhaust. I figured they should be the same since their both 9th gen. Main reason for this is because I want to get a strut brace, if it fits an 03-07, shouldnt it fit my 08 as well? Does any one else know any major differences like this or are there any?
2003 - 2004: All cable driven Corollas
2005 - 2008: All Corollas (except XRS) become drive by wire, subtle interior differences, electric immobilizer standard, some other features different, more sound insulations.

All 1ZZ-FE engines have rear exhaust. It must have been a bad picture you were looking at. A 2008 is exactly the same as a 2007.
And it doesn't make a difference to this thread, but I understand that some 2005 models were actually cable-driven as well (in addition to the XRS). There was apparently a switchover period sometime early in the 2005 model production series and some '05s actually have cables.
Another difference between 2003-2004 and 2005-2008 are the front fascia and grille areas. The 2005s have a slightly softer-styled front fascia design.

what do you mean has rear exhaust? so does the 2ZZ-GE. all of them are rear exhaust. pretty much the entire front of the car as slight differences from the 03-04 and 05-08. the front grille, the bottom grille, head lights are different color on the XRS, the front lip and fogs are different, tail lights are different color, XRS has rear cross brace and the back seat doesnt fold down in the XRS, XRS has front strut bar, XRS has different interior, the XRS is suposidly to be lowered 1 inch, and in the southeast toyota offered a TRD edition Corolla which is basically a LE with a different style lip kit wheels and that m3 style spoiler, thats all i can think of at this time
I dunno....when I'm next to our xrs in the garage...it seems just as high as my car. I guess an inch probably isn't that noticable though. I never heard of that TRD edition...guess thats cause I live up north :-).

By "rear exhaust", we mean the exhaust manifold is on the back of the head, and the intake manifold is on the front. You're right, the 2ZZ-GE engine has rear exhaust, we never said it didn't. We were talking about potential changes from 2007 to 2008 (there are few to none), not about differences between XRS and other models.

I ordered the part, so I should be good.
Tire pressure difference can easily change the ride height. The XRS springs are shorter and stiffer. They give a 1 inch lower ride height.
