Strange vibration

I just put a new axle "cv shaft" on my 05 corolla because at speeds over 65 the body would start to vibrate. The new axle was a pain to put into the tranny , I actually had to tap it in with a hammer and a piece of wood and it went in. The car now has a new vibration. At high speed the car is fine and has no vibration. At very low speed when it is shifting It sometimes feels and sounds as if I were driving a stick shift and I picked a high gear to soon: "like putting it in 4th instead of 2nd". When I try to accerate very hard it also feels rough and sounds as if the exhaust is loose and I feel a vibration at my feet. Under normal driving all is well and everything sounds good.Any clue would be good. I think I got a bad cv. Please advise.

well(im not an expert on this) but are you sure the vibration was from the cv shaft, the vibration at that speed could have been from poorly aligned or blanaced tires
Also did you use a cv kit and replace the cv joints or just the shaft?
also the heat shield for your exhaust could be bent, mine is and it vibrates but only at low rpms, mines not bent enough the be replaced because it doesnt cause any problems, but you should get that checked out aswell

Yes, I am sure the CV was the problem because at high speed the vibration is gone. The steering wheel didn't shake I could see the shake on the passenger side seat. I replaced the whole axle with a rebuilt one.

Sounds like your wheels are out of balance.
