A\C compressor diagnose

Out of curiousity my told my mechanic to plug in the test meter into a almunium pipe opening. The one beside the engine (corolla 04 1.5) (low port i guess) the

reading were off the chart they said. Normal reading is around 30 but my readings were 60. Which was wayy too high .....

N then they said my compressor is bad. i was like WTF.... since i havent faced any issue

other than dirty AC filter which ihave changed already 4days ago.

im wondering if my compressor is really bad then how come its performing so well. ( its a electric compressor they said)

The AC knob has 4 position. 4 being the max. i always use 2 and 3 is a bit too much.

even @ sunny day (having summer now) the side glasses gets fogged if i switch to 3.

So is it still normal to get a reading of 60 on low port side with a warm engine ( i did drive around 1 hour or more be4 the test)

Car: corolla 2004 JDM 1.5 liter engine
