clicking noise when giving gas

ok i have a 03 corolla s and i was comming home from skool one day and i noticed a clicking noise coming out of the motor and i popped my hood and it sounds like it is coming out of the head any ideas let me kno what you guys think it is and if i should b really concerd about it thanx

if the click click sound is coming out from the front engine, than probably its from lifters and get it checked ASAp before driving as it could damage inside and if its lifters, its an expensive repair.

No lifters in an overhead cam engine. The sound could be the injectors ticking.

When was your last oil change, and when did you check it last?

Check the easy stuff first.

well thats the thing it had oil in it started ticking then i changed the oil and i got the same result
