Acetone in Gas Tank

Hey Everybody!

Has anybody tried to put Acetone in their gas tank? 3 ounces in a 10 Gal. tank is supposed to double your gas mileage. If anybody has tried it, please let me know the results.

Thanks!

It doesnt do much if anything, and it will not double your mileage. If you want something useful, try 2 cycle engine oil, 1 oz to 5 gallons. The 2 cycle engine oil must be TC-W3 rated. It has many more benefits than acetone.

Isn't Acetone one of the primary ingredients in Octane Booster? This was just a YouTube video that came up, and it sounded interesting. I was just wondering if anybody had tried it.

Thanks for posting!

Acetone will not reduce your fuel consumption.

Toluene is octane booster. 2-stroke oil wont do anything, except increase smoke and possibly kill the cat.

Not at a 500:1 ratio, which is roughly 1 oz to 5 gallon.
