Thumbs up what are the common problems with 05 corolla !!!EVERYBODY!!!

hey everybody i think we should have a common problems thread for 05 corollas...so everybody can drop a line here so we know what to watch out for so if your having problems with your 05 let us know so everybody will know what to watch out for...

OK so here's one a common problem that Ive seen on some sites which i have myself is car juttering when changing gears can occur after about 20/30000 miles due to bad spring in the clutch and the only way to get rid of it is to change the clutch for a new one so if you having juttering at 20/30000 miles it is more than likely it is a bad spring in the clutch.........toyota issue they know about it

Canada

I Think the most common problem is between the steeling wheel and the seat.

I'd say the most common problems on the US cars are:

1) Bad serpentine belt tensioner design. Updated at some point in 2007 (there is a VIN breakout in the TSB). New ones apparently don't share the bad design of the old one.

2) ECUs requiring replacement.

Toyota has issued TSBs on both, and the ECU is covered by the US federal emissions warranty, out to 8 years or 80,000 miles or something like that.

In the United States, the manufacturer's warranty stays with the vehicle, not the owner (so the answer to your question is "yes"). Warranty coverages begin with the vehice's in-service date, regardless of who owns it now or how many owner's it's had.

There are a variety of warranty coverages. The bumper-to-bumper is 3/36k. The powertrain warranty is 5/60k. There's a federal emissions warranty that runs 8/80k I think. California has a more stringent emissions warranty requirement; it's something like 10/100k.

Canada may be similar, but it also may be different. Read your Canadian owner's manual to find out your consumer rights up north of the border.
