Powerlock/keyless 03 CE

Hello,
I tried putting this in an older thread but got no answers so Ill make it into its own thread!

Here it is Id like to install power locks on my 03 corolla CE.
My first question is, is it cable or rod actuated in the 03 CE. Ive pulled my door panels off once to replace the door handle but i cant remember??
Second anybody has suggestions on what hardware to buy(brand, website, etc)?
How much knowledge and tools does it involve, how hard is it????
What worries me the most is power supply..how to you get power to these actuators??
Thanks for reading and answering!!

so you want a DIY kit and suggestions. First of all if your car does not have a power lock already it would be lot of work and extras that you would need. I had power locks so Besy Buy installed the keyless and its working great. If no one answers you the best thing owuld be to go to a shop or best Buy to get some idea/suggestions.

I realize this is an older post but I'm getting ready to install pwr door locks (along with a remote starter system from Crimestoppers, model RS-1304DP) in my gf's 03 corolla. I bought the kit through sears and will give it a go. I'll keep everyone updated as to the progress and try if I can remember, to take some pics of the process.

I actually ended up buying it through Amazon.com and just got it yesterday and as soon as we have some descent weather and no snow outside, I will install it. I keep my vette in the garage and don't want to park it in the snow . Will keep you updated.

I finally got around to working on the car today and after pulling the door panel off I saw that the door locks are cable operated. The kit I got said it was good for all models but after banging my head on the wall trying to come up with a solution to adapting this kit, which seems to be for "rod" operated, I gave up and am sending the kit back. Without some major modifications and perhaps some irreversible damage, I just couldn't come up with a plan so my gf doesn't get power door locks.

Personally I do not know much but as I said before if the doors and windows are all manual it is probably nit possible to install a keyless kit. That is why the CE that comes with power windows and doors is an option in CE trim and on that you can get an after market keyless kit installed.
