Brake Rotor Thickness Difference

Hi,

I have a 2008 Toyota Corolla CE 20th Anniversary Edition with 26,000 KM (16 months) bought new from dealership.

For past month or so I started observing at around 60Km/h (or higher) when I apply brakes I observe the steering wheel vibrates, I contacted the dealership and they did the test drive and couldn't find anything, they then measured the rotors and found out that one of the rotor is (0.18mm if I remember it correctly) different in thickness (less or whatever), they suggested that I should replace the faulty rotor. Since the car is still in warranty they will do it without any cost for parts or labor.

Now here is the million dollar question, should I ask them to replace both of them at the same time (I don't know if they can do that or not) or I would be good if they replace only one.

My only concern is if they replace one, the other rotor is almost 26,000KM old, so if I put one new rotor now, after another 20-30 thousand KM's would they be again out of proportion or not?

Thanks.

I would recommend that you replace both at once.
