2005 corolla Serpantine Belt

On my 2005 Toyota Corolla S I smell rubber burning so I believe either the pulley is stcking or the belt is slipping. What I noticed is when I turn on the AC the pulley starts moving. I would think the pulley should always be moving? I' m definitley going to replace the belt(94k miles).. but not sure if I need pulley as well??

Thanks

pulley should always be moving. it goes around like 6 components dude.

ps: there's a TSB out for the pulley on 03-07 Corollas, doesnt hold enough tension and makes noise. That may be the cause of your issue. I just had mine replaced on Tuesday from the dealership because of it.

The A/C pulley will always turn, but the clutch does not. The clutch only turns when the A/C compressor engages. That's what engages the compressor. You may be confusing the A/C compressor clutch with the pulley.

The TSB was for the tensioner itself.
