Engine Seal Leak

Hey guys, i wanted to ask a couple questions, because i will be replacing the seals on my motor since i am starting to get oil on the drive way and my air compressor among other things. I think there are 2-3 engine seals on the motor however, i was hoping to get an idea of where the other 2 are besides the one on the harmonic balancer. Since i have to take most of the stuff off to get to this i was going to go ahead and replace the water pump, timing chain/belt since i am at a 90~k miles.

Thanks ahead of time for the help. I have not done this kind of work on my car before but i will have the help a a kind mechanic >"). I am looking to just get a idea of what i will be having to do and the materials that i will need to buy.

You'll need a Timing chain tensioner o-ring seal, engine valve cover gasket, and a front crankshaft seal.
The new water pump will come with it's o-ring. And a tube of black silicon for the Chain cover.

There is no need to change the timing chain.

Thanks for the fast responses guys ill start pricing up the parts so that i can get my car running like a top again.

If yall can think of anything else let me know and ill be sure to check out the pricing on those items as well.

I think the timing chain needs to be change since the car has about 95k miles on the car and it has not been done yet.

Belts need to be changed, not chains.

I always thought that the chains can stretch as well to some small extent anyways but, I was just going to change it for good measure since i will have it all apart.

Yes the chain and the spockets do wear out after extened period of time, if you're going to change them, you'll need more parts like, the chain, crank spocket, cam spockets, both chain guides, maybe even the timing chain tenioner itself. But is your car worth to spend that kind of money onto, or maybe just repair the
oil leak.

Ah ok i understand where your coming from now ill check into the prices i was just trying to do as much preventive repair as possible before my next semester of classes comes around. So that i would not have to worrie about spending money on it nor breaking down mid semester. Appreciate the help guys thanks again. Ill let yall know how things turn out i think ill probably not replace the timing chain just yet so it will be a little more cost efficient and just take care of the part that i need now. And leave the timing chain and other parts for another day.

I would replace the timing chain tensioner o-ring before anything else, as it might be your only leak and is the most notorious leak location for your engine. If you cannot find a seller for just the oring, a new tensioner is only $30 at the dealer and comes with a new o-ring on it
