Question 2005 Corolla S GRILLE questions?

Hey,

Forgive me if I sound noob... but I am a noob... bare with me please

Im planning on getting a 2005 corolla S Black... but I hate the grille (that silver reflection border) I actually love the 2005 XRS Grille ... where the border is Black. (but I can't afford XRS as it takes premium fuel too)

SO my questions are...

1. Can the 05' XRS Grille fit the 05' S?
2. Is it easy to change the grille or do I need a professional (and how much does that cost?)
3. What if I paint the silver border grille? What steps do I need to take? professional needed and if so how much does that cost?
4. I've google but the only other grille option I have is the Mesh one with the S and a extrememly silver line one... are there more grille options? if so... where?

THANKS!

Hi!

I think they would be the same. All you need to do to remove it would be taking out the 2 screws on the top and the center "pop lock." After that, there are 5 pressure points in the bottom that need to be pushed down and toward the outside. Other than that, I think the 03-08 have the same grills. You could probably go to a junk yard and get another grille from a different model for cheap.

Hope this helps!

The stock grille has that "fake" chrome paint.., and since it is plastic, you could simply sand it off and repaint it if you wanted. You would need a professional to make it match your paint if you wanted that. Other then that, check ebay, I'm pretty sure that you can find some black honey comb style grilles that will fit the non XRS.

its really easy to take out the grill and the trim around the grill can be seperated and you can either paint it your self or pay a shop to do it so its color-matched.
