Exclamation Shifted from 4th gear to 2nd at 100-110km

Hey i would really like someones advice!
I was on the hwy going up a hill needed to speed up doing about 100km I went from 5th to 4th and then needed more power so I accidently shifted from 4th to 2nd at about 100km to 110km. I am not very happy at my self. I would saw the needle hit about 6.5 then I push the clutch in right away. It was maybe in 2nd for like 2 milliseconds. If you could recomnd what I do to make sure i have no problems. There is no light on. engine sounds and runs the same. I think the noise that i always hear in the engine is that timing chain or valves which have always been audiable.

I was thinking of full synithitc and magnitic oil plug.
Thanks guys

I don't think you damaged anything. 6.5k is right at the beginning of the redline and if that was for just a second or two your motor and tranny should be fine. I once accidentally took my 7th gen to 6.5k-ish in 1st while taking off. I have driven more than 10000km since then without any trouble. If I remember correctly, the fuel cut-off is at 6.5k so as long as you weren't over something crazy like 7k you should be fine. Just don't make a habit of revving that high

yeah i am not sure what 100-110 km in 2nd gear puts you at in rpms. but the max allowable speed in second acording to my manual says 96 km. I still am beating myself over about it. I think it is fine but i think i am going to do a full synthitic oil change from now and forever

in my maunel it says 118km/h (73mph)
if anythingyou probably didnt damage anything, you were only doing 100km/h (62 mp/h) so you werent above the max limit.
but i could imagine how ur stomache dropped when the car lurched forward and the engine roared.
ive done it b4 in my auto and i downshifted too early when trying to avoid an accident. but my car seems fine and i dont think you should worry unless u start hearing some knocking or wierd vibrations

If the car's onboard diagnostic computer sets any error codes that can be read out by a diagnostic scan tool, then the "check engine" light on the dashboard stays on after the engine is started. No "check engine" light after starting the engine means that there are no error codes to read.

You should be fine. 6500 rpm is where the rev limit is on 1ZZ so there is nothing bad about revving up to that.

I doubt you did any damage. If the car's running fine, you should be good to go.

Synthetic oil won't hurt a thing. It won't really HELP anything either, unless you take it to the max, with 10,000+ mile oil change intervals. If you change the synthetic oil at 3,000 or 5,000 miles, it's really a waste of money.
