How many qts. oil for 2008 Corolla 1.8l ?

Waiting for owners manual from dealer and service dept. is closed. How many Qts. of oil for 2008 Corolla with the 1.8L engine.

The owners manual calls for 4.2 qts with a filter change. I put in 4.0 which, when checked, puts the level dead in the middle of the "zone" on the dip stick, Jimmy!

Weird, my girlfriend's mom has an 05', 4qts puts it at the top.

Check level upon refill, start & idle engine approx 5 mins. shut off, wait a few minutes for oil level to settle, top off with 1/4qt oil (My checklist: Bosch oil filter change, start w/4qts, end total 4 1/4qts)

4.5 when you do a hot oil change with filter and puts it on the top dot.

I just changed oil in my car last week, is use 1 big bottle of moble 1 ( 4.4 Litre). and when I done, I pull up the oil checking tape, is at the top dot, so that just perfect.

4.3 qts puts me right at the full mark.
