Wingless Rolla.

Has anyone ever removed the Spoiler on a 2004 Corolla S? I was thinking of taking mine off but i wasnt sure how many bolts or if it was on there with some type of glue?

It's bolted. And you'll need a new decklid, or you'll have to fill the holes in your current one.

Hmm, i wonder if i can find some plugs that will just match the color of the car and fill in the holes?

It'd still be WAY visible I think. Is something damaged? If you really want rid of the spoiler, I'd go over to 9th_gen_corolla.com (without the "_") and offer your decklid in exchange for one of the same color without a spoiler. I'm sure a lot of people are looking to add a spoiler to theirs.

You would have to have to sand down the metal and use some bondo and then paint back over it then again. It would be easy to try to find someone that has a lid that doesnt have the spoiler on it, (like jason said) i am more than certain you could get a even swap out maybe even ask for a few bucks and someone would be willing to take it off your hands.

That's a much better idea, just swapping out the trunk. Is the trunk hard to take off and put back on the car. Im a little worried about the wiring and stuff.

Its pretty simple to take off just pop your trunk and look at what is holding it on. I took a peak at mine just a sec ago and its four nuts that attach the lid to the swing arms. The only part that might give you trouble the wiring and trunk pop cord. Just remove the bolts that attach to the plastic piece on your trunk and you will be able to take the assembly apart and unplug the wiring harness that goes to the lid as well as the trunk pop cable.

the pop cord shouldnt matter. only thing that i imagine would is the springs that pop the trunk open. if toyota uses different springs for winged lids and wingless lids. -to compensate for the extra weight.
also... the brake light... which should be just one wire.. but i would imagine the wingless rollas come pre wired right?

I'd give you a few bucks for the spoiler if it's in good condition after you take it off

I would swap with someone. If you have a free local classified site, you may be able to get someone's attention in your area that wants to swap trunk lids. I have to agree that a shaved trunk would look better on the S. Should shave the badges, too.

I have been looking at getting a new trunk and instead im just going to take the wing off my current trunk. My freind drives a red srt-4 and he found plugs for this purpose, of closing up the holes. Once i take the wing off, im definetly interested in selling it.
