replace rear wheel bearing hubs

Hello again thanks for your input on my last question about the noise. It appears that the HUM is the rear wheel bearings. I was wondering is anyone has done this and if so how hard is it to do. I'll be doing this on my drive way with a jack and jack stands. My biggest concern is the rear drum brakes and having to take them apart and put them back. are there any short cuts or ways not to totally dismantle the rear brakes to replace the hubs. I'm concerned that it will cost a lot because the parts are over $300. Any thoughts or advice would be much appreciated

It is not a difficult job. I did it in my drive way. I was looking at Auto zone and they list the part between 107.99 & 123.99 depending on if you have ABS or not. I did this job 2 and a half years ago so, I don't really remember everything I had to take off. I do think you can leave one of the brake shoes on so, you don't have to take the whole thing apart. The bolt to release the hub are on the back and very easy to get to. Go slow and take lots of pictures so that you can see where everything goes. If you have any questions just ask.

Don't be afraid to do it. It is fairly simple and you will save allot of money. It's not really worth the money to take it to the dealer. Take lots of picture they will make the difference in the long run.
