Rear Deck Noise

Ok... I've searched all over the internet and can't seem to find a straight answer from anyone.

I installed a 10" subwoofer in my trunk to round out the audio (the aim isn't to shake the vehicle next to me) and there is something near the driver-side rear speaker that persistently rattles. I've taken the plastic trim completely off and couldn't find anything that wasn't tightly secured.

Any ideas?

In my old Neon, the little covers that cover the latches for the child safety seat used to vibrate and click. I used to flip all the covers up so that the latches werent covered. That made the sound go away. Maybe try that?

Took the whole deck off today and found it. One granule of sand had fallen into the driver-side speaker. Vacuumed it out and it sounds fine now.

I should also mention that anyone who takes their rear deck plastic off should also clean the rear glass while they can get to the lower portion of the window. Mine was pretty nasty, especially around the high-mount stop light.
