LE armrest in 2007 CE??

Hey all, I bought a 2007 CE new back in...2007. It's run perfectly for 2 years now, and I'd like to go ahead and make some small modifications to make it more comfortable. Particularly, I want to get one of the storage box covers from the LE (with the additional padded top) and replace my current one. The CE is every bit as mechanically sound as the LE, but lacks a right armrest, as you know.

Is this something I could get from the dealer? Could I get such a recent part from a junkyard? I'm in South Texas. Thanks!

There is no OEM padded armrest for the corolla for any model, that I know of. The LE has a fabric covered armrest, but the thickness is very minimal. There is an armrest from the scion tc that works, but has minimal padding. I got mine custom made for my car and it is awesome.

Hey there, can you show some pictures of your custom armrest? The armrest on mine is already loose as a goose, so I was going to take it in to have it replaced under warranty. But if there's a better option, I might rather go that route.

Thanks!

Here they are. It may seem a bit odd, but this is probably one of the best things I did to my car. If you use a padded armrest, there is no way you would use the old one. I looked high and low for a factory padded armrest, but could not find one. I know they are made for the camry, but not the corolla. I talked to the custom upholster and asked for extra padding.

I went to my local dealership and asked who does their custom interior work and I went to him. He took my hard armrest, added padding, and sewed a color matching fabric on it.

The armrest from the tc is poor but fits the corolla.

Color is matched really well to the seats, craftsmanship is pretty good, and I sprayed scotch protector on it in case of spills. I took these at night, so the flash was kinda bright. I was able to keep the tray on the armrest, and that was a plus.

I always wanted to know, what is the "vent" in the upper left of this pic, left of the vent knob.

I think that vent is the speaker that beeps to warn you about stuff, like seatbelts not being buckled.

It's actually for Toyota Vehicle Intrusion Protection (VIP) system's glass breakage sensor, if so equipped.
