Cool hubcaps / wheel cover replacements

Hi everyone, my 2003 Corolla CE has managed to lose three of its hubcaps over the years.

I know someone who's selling their 2003 Camry hubcaps (same size, 15"). Would these work on my Corolla?

Also any general advice for replacement hubcaps would be appreciated. I called my Toyota dealer and they want $112 for EACH hubcap which seems ridiculous. Online sites sell "replica" caps for $40/each. There are generic caps in auto parts stores for $40/4pack.

Any advice? Thanks!

P.S. I have noticed a lot of Corollas with missing hubcaps... what's up with that?

Be cautious of the aftermarket auto parts store-variety wheel covers. My brother went to a shop and had his tires rotated on his '96 Civic and the shop didn't reattach the Honda covers correctly and they flew off. He called the shop and they had him go buy a new set at AutoZone. In less than a year, the silver paint has completely flaked off of all four, exposing the white plastic beneath.

I wouldn't buy aftermarket covers. I'm a firm believer that you get what you pay for. You can look around on eBay for replacement genuine wheel covers. I've been looking to replace one of mine since the previous owner had some problems staying away from the curb...

That being said, It's insane to buy a wheel cover from a dealer. I called my local Toyota dealer and the price tag was $88 and some change before tax for a plastic wheel cover.

I would imagine the Camry covers would work, but I'm not the authority on the subject.

Thumbs up

Thanks for your advice, I see some good looking Toyota branded hubcaps on eBay for cheap, from reputable sellers. Think I'll go that route.

The gerneric cheapies at Walmart, Autozone, Oreilly's, Pepboys, etc are all junk. I have had bad experience with them. The dealer is a rip off. I have found used ones on ebay, that is your best bet. I buddy has an 2006 Corolla and the 15" Camry ones fit well.

The Camry has a different bolt pattern. So the holes in the wheel cover for the lug nuts won't be exact. It won't affect anything mechanical, but it might look funny. I would shop eBay. You can often find a set of 4 genuine Toyota wheel covers (sometimes new even) for less than 100 bucks.

That's a great point, Jason, about the difference between Corolla vs. Camry lugs.

Everything is pointing towards eBay. Thanks again for the help!
