I have the 15" Prius alloys on mine. I paid $200 for just the wheels. The plastic trim rings were a bit scratched, but I was disposing those anyway, so I didn't mind. Are the wheels and tires new, or just the tires? $500 for all four isn't a bad price, if the tires are decent. If the tires are otherwise marginal (like the Goodyear Integrity), I'd pass, or ask if they'll sell just the wheels. Also, the Prius takes a different tire size than you might have. It takes a 185/65R15. The Corolla CE came with that size, but the S and LE came with 195/65R15. Those Prius wheels likely have new 185/65R15 tires, and I wouldn't care to have those on my car anyway, even if they were half decent in quality. I'd rather have the right size.
Bottom line: I'd ask if they'd separate, and sell the wheels for $250. Then get your own set of tires.
I've bored you all with these before, but here are Prius wheels on my 'Rolla. And those are Yokohama Avid TRZ tires (in 195/65R15).
The Prius wheels are LIGHT. Only 14 pounds each. That's awfully dadgum light, even for this size. Most aftermarket wheels, and even the stock Corolla wheels in 15x6, are 16+ pounds.
They're likely the Goodyear Integrity tires, and likely in the wrong size for your car.
It's not a really bad deal if you had a Prius. And I guess it's really not a bad deal if your Corolla took that size tire. Still, it's a pretty lame tire.
What you might consider doing is buying the whole thing, having a tire store switch the tires for your tires, then trying to sell the new Goodyears from the Prius wheels. Prius owners are pretty proud of those wheels, and most of them go for $300-400 in excellent condition. I got mine for a little cheaper because they were on eBay and the trim rings were scratched. The seller contacted me and just asked if I wanted to buy them straight up for my bid, and I did. I picked them up local, so there was little risk of a dead-beat seller with shipping and all that.
If you look at it this way, it's a fair deal: you're going to spend $500 easy on aftermarket wheels anyway, whether they're 15" or 17". With 17s, you'll be way above that because you'll have to buy tires, but with 15s you might be able to re-use the tires you have now, if they're good. Now, you know the Prius wheels are good quality, you know they'll fit right, you'll know they're one of the lightest options out there (generally good for performance and economy). If you've settled on spending $500+ for wheels anyway, and you like the Prius wheels, go for it. The fact that you've got four new Goodyear tires that you could probably get $75-100 out of, is only gravy on the top.
17" wheels on a 2003 corolla. Will it fit? Anyone got any pictures?
Thanks.
Yes 17" wheels fit just fine. Here are some pictures...

in a related topic, for those of you with the plus sizes, i.e. plus 1(16") and plus 2(17"), do you like the space in the wheel well between well and tire? i think it looks kind of weird. and if you don't like the space, are planning on lowering the car at all? any good options or ideas for a temporary/inexpensive but quality solution until a permanent and most likely more expensive solution can be applied?

I'm not crazy about the jacked up look but it's better then the stock wheel/tire combo.
There are no plans to lower the car for a few reasons:
1. The hump in our driveway eats lowered vehicles. My Cobra and RX-7 are not lowered and they scrape the exhaust.
2. Its a daily driver and we like/need the ride height for winter driving and speed bumps and we really don't want the jiggly ride in our daily driver.
3. It's not a show car so I'm not concerned about the look and the +2 set up with some sticky tires handles very nicely as is.
Not that I have anything against lowered cars. It's just not practical for our car.
