Having a problem with the passenger side airbag. When i have a passenger seated the air bag light still says the airbag is off. Even when there is nobody seated it remains off. It used to go on when there was a occupant but no longer works. Any help is greatly appreciated. I have a 2005 Corolla. Thanks

Can you check the connections under the seat? How much does this passenger weigh?

What connections would I look for? I peeked under the seat and all the connections seem to be okay.Passenger weight varies. I would say 180 lbs to 220 lbs.

Did the passenger have their seatbelt on or off?

How many miles does your Corolla have? When was the date of purchase? If you have less than 60,000 miles and the vehicle is less than 5 years old (from original date of purchase) The problem you describe is covered under the Restraint Systems Warranty- which is 5 years/60,000 miles. Unless you have an early-built 2005 or have high miles, it's covered.
