Question with engine (solenoid, computer problem)

Here's my situation on my 2005 Corolla CE:

My engine light went up so I went to get it checked. After getting it scanned, it said that the transmission solenoid failed. Got it replaced and drove it for a couple hours and the light disappeared for a bit. But then it came back on. Check it out, cleaned the ground in the engine compartment and the light went away again but it went up again shortly after saying the solenoid failed again.

My question is how far do i check the ground, do I go to the computer or stay at the engine?

A fairly common issue with the 2006-05 Corollas with auto trans. Almost all of the time it's the PCM (powertrain control module). The powertrain control module. The PCM has to be reprogrammed or replaced as the software in the PCM has a glitch causing a check engine light to come on and the transmission to shift erratically. How many miles on your car? The PCM is covered under an 8year or 80,000 mile federal emissions warrany. I would take it to the dealer. My coworker also has 05 Corolla with 69000 miles on it and she had the same issue. The local dealer covered it under warranty. I have not had any issues with mine yet (knock on wood), it may have been already done as I purchased mine used when it was one year old with 15,000 miles.
