When my Corolla ('03 CE) comes to a stop it makes a rattling or clicking noise. This occurs after I have brought the car to a stop while my foot is still on the brake pedal. It sounds like the noise is coming from the left front wheel well. Any thoughts on what this might be would be appreciated. My old mechanic retired and I don't want to bring this to someone I don't know/trust and get jerked around. Any knowledge I can bring with me would be well-appreciated!

that happened to my corolla aswell it was like a cluck rattle noise when i was coming to a complete stop with my car it was the brake pads were not sitting right so had to get them adjusted and it went away.make sure there sitting in the brake clips right you could do it yourself just take the two caliper cover screws out you will need the right spanner to take the screws out and take the cover off don't leave it hanging tie it up with some string then have a look at the pads and see if there sitting on there right make sure there clipped in you should hear a click sound when there in right....
