I did it a few weeks ago, The dealership I bought it at did not do it when they changed the oil and did a checkup so it went off soon after.

I put the car into acc mode, held down the trip timer button and started it, watched the odo area status bars count down 3 seconds and display zeros, and after I released it the light went away. I have a 06 le, so it should be the same.

Yes. With the key on, make sure the main odometer is displayed, and not one of the trip odometers. Turn the key off, press and hold the trip odometer reset button, and turn the key back to on (no need to start the engine). You'll see a series of countdowns, like this:

-----
----
---
--
-
00000

When the zeros show, it's reset. You can release the trip reset button and turn the key off.

Thanks for clarifying JasonA, I tried a few times before getting it right, so I don't remember exactly what I did.
