Corolla Trunk length

I'm looking for a new car right now and a 2004 to 2007 Corolla is one of the cars that I am seriously considering.

One of the things that I really want to know about the Corolla that I can't seem to find ANYWHERE is how long the trunk is from the latch that closes the trunk to the back of the trunk where the back seats start along the bottom of the trunk.

I have looked for this measurement everywhere and I can't find it.

Just wondering if anyone knew where this would be listed or if they knew that measurement from their own Corolla?

Thanks

Jim

Jim, I could measure mine tonight. The back seat is foldable, and it's also angled. Do you want the measurement along the floor (that will be the longest). I can measure anything else on the car, just let me know what you need.

Thanks Jason!

I was just looking for the measurement along the floor of the trunk from the trunk latch to the back of the trunk with the seats up like they would be if two people were riding in the back seat.

Jim, you've got a maximum depth of 40". The rear wall of the trunk (where the latch is) is very flat across. Obviously the front wall (where the seat is) isn't all that straight. The seat opening is about 36" across (my eyeball estimate), and on either side, you have protrusions into the trunk from the wheel wells, strut towers, all that. But in the center, and maybe 12-18" on either side of center, you have an honest (but just barely) 40".

Jason

Thanks so much for taking the measurements for me I really appreciate it!

That is a pretty good size trunk for a car that is not huge!

Thanks again

Jim

It is a big trunk. You can easily fit two bags of golf clubs in there along with a few coolers, etc. Plenty of room.

In a pinch, with the back seat folded down, I've carted around 8 foot 2x4's, and even 10 foot sections of PVC pipe, with the trunk closed. Not bad for a small car.

I had in there:

1 carry on upright bag of 67 inches linear
2 38 quart coolers with wheels
1 36(?) 0.5l bottle pack from Costco
1 24(?) 0.75l energy drink pack of some sort
3 Ikea food bags that carry something like 20 quarts each
1 Coleman classic camping stove 2 burners

and still there was more space!!
