My son's 05 Corolla CE factory radio was staticy. We installed a panasonic and it is the same. My Camry or my wife's Camry do not have this problem. He has a Zune and the radio transmitor on it is staticy unless you put it right against the antenna or directly under the radio. Has anyone else noticed weak reception with the Corolla?
Thanks
Keith

those radio transmitter things are never really any good, is the an aux hookup on the new panasonic radio, either on the faceplace or in the back? if there is, you should definitely use that instead of the transmitter, they give much crisper sound.

Yea, those radio transmitters are junk. Unless you drop like 80-100 bucks on one. I use the cassette deck that plugs into my iphone for music.

My radio has always come in decently clear on any major radio station. I had problems with a Belkin FM transmitter (compatible with all players with the standard headphone jack) in my car. It wouldn't come in more than 75% clear on a blank station and that was with it in ridiculous spots.

However my friends Ipod FM transmitter (only works with Ipods because it doesn't use the headphone jack) worked well with his Ipod in my car. Like rainking1978 posted above it runs about $120CAD and is only for the Ipod.

TrdSpeed140s' idea is probably the way to go. Seeing as the Panasonic deck will probably will have a cable input jack for an mp3 built into it (most likely in the back), which will require you to get a cable.

rainking1978s' idea will work if the Panasonic is a cassette deck.
