I Need Help- Engine Block Cracked

We had a Honda with a cracked block a few years back. It was about 20k out of warranty, but Honda helped us out. They provided the dealer a short block and we paid the labor to install it.

I hope Toyota helps you out with something. If not, used low mileage engines are about $1000, and installers get about $1000 to swap it out.

It's probably not a coincidence that the car is in Canada, I'm thinking. It's gotta be somehow related to the super-cold weather they get there.

He's in Toronto... you can hardly call it "super cold" here.

The average January low temperature is -7.9 deg C (that's 18 deg F) and the record low temperature is -32.8 deg C (that's -27 deg F). In terms of automotive cooling systems, and freeze protection...yeah, that's cold.
