Mounting Satellite Radio

I would like some ideas and even photos. I have a Sirius Satellite Radio.

I would like to know a good way to mount my Radio face to my dash. I do not like using the suction cups on my windshield.

What are some nice suggestion of putting it on my dash or below to make it look good and secure.

Photos and suggestions please.

I put mine in the storage bin on the left side of the dash. I'll take a few pics and post.

It's an older Stratus receiver. I have the antenna up in the center of the dash, in the very front under the windshield. I have an FM modulator kit hard-wired to the back of the radio. So I keep my #1 radio preset at 88.1, and that's the Sirius. But with the FM modulator, if the Sirius radio is not putting out audio on the line (such as if it's off), the regular aerial antenna is piped to the radio, so you get your full selection of over-the-air radio. It works perfect.

I picked up a bracket off of eBay and mounted my radio dock to it.

The Satellite radio uses its line out to input into an aux in adapter hooked into the stock radio's CD changer port. Works and sounds great. Well, as great as the highly compressed Sat source will allow.

I also wired in a spare 12VDC outlet behind the dash to plug the radio into (but haven't done it with this model yet). Using some spade multipliers from Radio Shack, I was able to add the extra outlet without cutting or splicing any wiring in the car.

Let's see if my picture works:
