Canada Fan Belt

I have a 2007 Corolla CE. I had a pretty loud fan belt so the dealer replaced it yesterday. There was no charge so that's all good. My concern is this is the second time in 16 months it's been replaced. Is this common woth Corollas. Could this be a sign of a greater issue?

I think the stock drive belt sucks. I replaced mine myself with a better brand with only 20k miles on the original one.

really, you got your fan belt replaced? The one for your electric fans? that's odd. anyway, all joking aside, hit up an autozone if you have those where you are and get the gatorback belt, they're the best in IMO.

I bet you he means the serpentine belt. Duffbeer, your belt is probably fine, it's more likely that the tensioner for the serpentine belt keeps loosening (a known problem for both 1ZZ-FE and 2ZZ-GE engines), causing the noise.

03 corolla
Ive had dealers replace tensioners and belts for the whole warranty time but found no relief. I did read an article awhile back that stated the pulley system may not be in perfect alignment. My car had belt issues from day one the only solution I could find was the gatorback belt. It stopped the squeaks and belt sounds so much I also installed one on my 02 tundra.
The 03 corolla belt w a/c was 4060740 and I paid $28.99 plus tax US
