Brake, ABS light

On my 03 I have the brake and abs light on when the car is started. The light stays on until you start driving the car and reaching 10mph. During the period with the lights on the speedo doesnt work either until 10mph then the needle shoots up to 10mph. This is probably a wheel speed sensor issue and I've had this issue for over 2 years. lol

Also if you drive off with the 2 lights on the transmission stays in first gear and doesnt shift until the light goes off. If you go over 3000rpm with the lights on it would throw on a check engine light. The code would read P0500 something about a wheel speed circuit malfunction. The code will normally reset itself after about 8 key cycles. Today when I drove off pasting 3000rpm the check engine light came on again and with my scan tool a second code appeared, P0770 shift solenoid e malfunction. I looked up the code online and found out theres a tsb on some corolla and matrix model about this issue. I cleared the codes and thats that.

For some reason when I wanna overtake someone and mash the gas pedal the car doesnt wanna downshift into a lower gear. I have a K&N intake so it is very loud when you open the throttle wide open and no downshift happens. When I take off from redlights the car also seems like it starts off in second gear never wanting to move under 3000rpm. So I stopped trying to overtake people from redlights. I save that for my M45. =) Could this be from the shift solenoid malfunction?

Does anyone else have this problem? Its not a big issue for me right now and hasnt been in the past 2 years. Who knows how much a wheel speed sensor is gonna cost at the dealer.
