Angry Bad batch of wipers

Since April i have had to put for sets of wiper blades on. Ranging from anco, Micheline, and the set the car had when i got it. I might just go out and by the Bosch blades as they lasted about two year on my moms escape before they started streaking.

That is odd for the blades to go out so quickly. I have Bosch blades on right now with no complains.

How old is your car? Maybe the springs in the arms are weak. I assume your windshield is in decent shape.

I've used Bosch blades with excellent results. Also lasted me 2 years. Make sure the blade is installed correctly and is secured in place.

Try out the new Bosch ICON or Evolution blades, those are absolutely fantastic.

Well worth the asking price IMO.

It is likely your windshield and not your blades. Thoroughly, I mean thoroughly clean your windshield. Wash it, scrub it, clay it, wipe down with lighter fluid, and finish it with a magic eraser on the glass only.

What do you mean by, "the blades go out"? Do they start chattering, smearing, tearing, etc?

I agree that it's something ON your windshield. If you've used Rain-X in the past, or even if you haven't, your glass is likely contaminated by something. Water should sheet off glass, not bead. If it beads up, there's something on the glass that's contaminating your blades. Anything can do it. Even something like your wife putting a dryer sheet in with your car towels when they get dried (then you get that goo on the car when you dry it). Car washes that also contain wax are also a pain with glass. Use only car wash soap that doesn't contain wax.

It could be something in the shop towels. Maybe the glues. But I haven't had much luck with the glass microfibers either, because they tend to pick up my skin oils. Newspaper works great.

Still, check your wash and see if it's got wax in it. That's likely the culprit.
