'04 60k and I started to get an early morning start up squeak from the engine area and it only last for about a minute. It will not duplicate the rest of the day only once early. So what could it be?

Sounds like a classic bad serpentine belt.

How about Gates? Don't they make good serpentine belts as well? I'm having the same annoyance with my vehicle, but I plan on replacing the tensioner as well. Anybody know what the price is at the dealership for the tensioner?

The gator back is designed to be quiet. I had this same problem and the gatorback fixed it. A big alllllllright to a product that actually works. Keep the old belt as a spare.

05 Carola XRS Drive Belt

Hi there!

I'm kinda short on money latly, so I figured I'd start trying to do some things myself...

I need to replace the drive belt on my 05 Carola XRS. I went and got a new belt, and the Chilton Repair Manual. In the manual it doesn't say what size wrench or ratchet needed. Also, when I looked under the hood there was more stuff in the way then in the pics in the manual...

What I'm really looking for is just some advice, and the size wrench I'll need...

Thanks
--James

19 mm. It goes over the "fake nut". Make sure the new belt is similar in length to the old belt, just incase the belt you got is for the 1zz fe. Also make a sketch of routing and it is a very tight fit.
