Tires for my 08...

My Corolla S it has 25K miles. The tires look almost shot. What does everyone recomend for tires? I personally like Bridgestone tires. Please feel free and chime in.

If you can give us some more information about what you prefer in a tire, we can help you decide what would likely be best. What type of driving do you do? Do you want all-season tires, or do you use winter tires in the winter? Do you prefer handling over ride/noise, or the opposite? How important is fuel economy to you (rolling resistance)?

Perhaps the number one compliment/observation of new cars (American and Foriegn)are the tires do not last long. A year, 2 years.

Question:
Many(if not all) of the 2010 Toyota corollas require preformance tires, even the S models. Does your 2008 Toy. require a preformance tire?

Open your driver's side door, keep it open. Along the door panel or car body you should see a placard. On the placard will be your tire size. After the tire size is a space, then a double digit number followed by a letter. What is the letter? It will likely be a S,H,V, OR Z

That letter has ALOT of meaning towards if your car requires a preformance tire. An H,V, OR Z is a preformance tire.

In some states if your vehicle requires a preformance tire and you put basic all season tires on, they will fail you doing a state car inspection

Good job in going with the Potenzas.

I have the same tires and they are better than all the other suggestions that were mentioned in this thread.

Thanks. The Potenzas are awesome! The car feels transformed. Much more grip in the wet.

Michelin tires

Michelin Harmony tires are VERY good. They're known for their even tread wear and comfortable, quiet ride. I recently ordered four Michelin HydroEdge tires, to give those a try on my 2007 Corolla. They're expensive-- $130 a tire through Wal-Mart.com-- but worth it. These have a 90K mile warranty where as the Harmony have an 80K. The HydroEdge also offer more of a sporty tread versus the plain-jane tread of the Harmony tires.
