2005 Corolla mini compartment panel replacement...

Hi there,

I have a newsly used (oxy moron?) 2005 Corolla S. The interior is in great shape except for one annoying thing. The sunglasses compartment under the climate control is broken. At first, the hinges broke, and the user tried to glue the little door shut.

Brilliant.

He then, for some insane reason, removed the mini interior compartment so now only the door remains - taped shut.

Toyota quoted me 286.00 for what they call the 'Instrument Cluster Panel'. It's basically the entire climate control panel. I asked if they could just replace the small compartment and they said no.

This is crazy.

Does anyone know a good place for toyota parts and what I should be searching for. I can't for the life of me find any info on this.

ebay is your best bet. I clock was broke, my one led light was dead and my try was also broken. I bought the whole assembly on ebay for $60 shipped.

Yeah, I can't seem to find anything to be honest.

I looked further in, and the entire back of the compartment has been cut up and removed. It's almost as if he had some device in there. Any ideas what the hell someone would put in there?
