Brake noise, squeak

The brakes on my 03 is making a sqeaking noise everytime I let off the brake pedal. Could it be that the caliper pins need to be lubicated or something with the drums?

The rear drum brakes with shoes have contact points where the shoes rub on the rear contact points (dust cover backing plate). Take the shoe retainers off the shoes with out removing anything else and you can obtain access to these points by slightly pulling the shoes away from the rear dust housing. Coat these areas (6 each side) with a light coat of synthetic brake grease or anti seize and you will be good to go. You may as well clean and adjust the parking brake while in there. The hanes repair manual (992037) Illustrates the brakes fairly well. (page 9-8)

Mine did the same thing and it ended up that the wear sensors for the front brakes were rubbing the rotors as the brakes were almost worn down to nothing. I suggest checking your front brakes. Just a suggestion, I hope this helps.

I replaced the front rotors and pads just 5000 miles ago. lol
